Field Sales Representative

Our field sales team is always evolving to meet the needs required by our customers in the metalworking manufacturing industry. We’re seeking a person of high character who enjoys making a difference, eager to learn, open to creative ideas, dependable, confident, computer savvy, detail oriented, and has an extensive background as a machinist or equivalent understanding of manufacturing tools and operations, specifically those products used around CNC equipment. Responsibilities and Duties
 
Supports the needs of an approved active customer account list through in-person visits, phone calls, emails, and other forms of communication.
Responsible for new account acquisition, as well as uncovering and developing new opportunities within existing accounts.
Maintains regular contact with new and existing customers, continually working to understand problem areas and developing solutions to address them.
Input and update all sales calls, planned and completed, into a shared outlook calendar daily.
Manages and fills vending machines on a regular schedule where required.
Works with the inside sales team to communicate needs for quotes and orders.
Enters quotes, orders, and purchase orders into the company ERP system.
Meets with VP of Sales monthly to review each individual customer account.
Attends monthly training sessions and sales meetings.
Initial training and onboarding period will be substantial in order to learn company culture, product lines, customer base, and ERP system.
 
Education
 
High School Degree or equivalent required
 
Skills/Requirements
 
Ability to build working relationships with other functional areas to best support mutual objectives.
Willingness to research and work to resolve customer issues.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Machine Shop background or equivalent understanding of cutting tools and CNC operations is required.

Inside Sales 

We are currently seeking individuals with an upbeat personality who enjoy interacting with people and pride themselves in getting a job done right. You’ll have the opportunity to work with a team of veteran sales people that work together to solve the needs of our customers. We’re seeking a person of high character who enjoys making a difference, hungry to learn, open to creative ideas, dependable, confident, computer savvy, detail oriented, and has a background in manufacturing as a machinist or has equivalent machine shop knowledge. Responsibilities and Duties
 
Interacts with customers by phone, email, or in person to provide information, process orders, and to ensure the best service possible.
Maintains regular follow up with existing customers, continually working to understand problem areas and developing solutions to address them.
Continual personal improvement through sales training sessions and self-evaluation.
 
Education
 
High School Degree or equivalent required

Skills/Requirements
 
Ability to build working relationships with other functional areas to best support mutual objectives.
Willingness to research and work to resolve customer issues.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Familiarity with Windows based computer programs and minimum typing skill of 30wpm.
Experience in a machine shop or equivalent knowledge of metalworking manufacturing tools and operations is required.
